Nona Mia Ritrovo, located in beautiful Asheville, North Carolina, serves what we like to describe as Italian-American "soul food," the legacy of generations of Italian cooks in American kitchens.
The words Nona Mia are Italian for "my grandmother"; and the name honors the traditions passed down to chef Peter Affatato by his own grandmother, his other relatives, and the entire Italian-American community in this country. Peter's dishes are faithful, yet modern recreations of the culinary wisdom deriving from two great traditions. Wood-fired pizza (two kinds: Neapolitan and Sicilian), artisan sandwiches, pasta dishes, and classic Italian specialties are served by our fabulous staff in a casual, laid-back atmosphere. And it's all affordable!
